Collision between car and motorcycle (EUX)
On Thursday, the 23rd of October, around 2:30 PM, the central control room received a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Heyligerweg on Sint Eustatius. When the police arrived, the injured motorcyclist had already been taken to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.
Collision (EUX)
On Monday, the 20th of October 20, around 2:15 PM, the central control room received a report of a collision at the intersection of H.M. Queen Beatrix Road and Kruisweg on Sint Eustatius. When the police arrived, it appeared that two cars had collided because one of the drivers had failed to give way. One of the drivers had minor injuries from the collision and was taken to the hospital by the police for a medical examination. In accordance with the 'botsen is blazen’ policy, a breathalyzer test was administered with both drivers, with a negative result.
Threat of a fight (EUX)
On Saturday, the 18th of October, at around 11:55 AM, the central emergency room received a report of a possible fight on Van Pereweg on Sint Eustatius, in which someone had been injured. Upon arrival, the police and ambulance found a man with a wound. It appeared that an argument had broken out between a group of people, during which one of them had thrown a stone at the other party, hitting the victim. The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment. The case is under investigation.
Minor crashes into police car (SABA)
On Thursday, the 16th of October, around 3:30 PM, a collision occurred between a scooter and a police vehicle on Pasture Street on Saba. The scooter driver, who turned out to be a minor, was driving at high speed and was ordered to stop by means of a stop sign. Due to the high speed, the driver was unable to stop in time. He lost control of the steering wheel, causing him to collide with the service vehicle. The scooter was confiscated. The minor's parents have been notified and the driver will be fined for all the offenses he committed. In accordance with the 'botsen is blazen’ policy, a breathalyzer test was administered with both drivers, with a negative result.
Theft at a company (EUX)
On Thursday, the 16th of October, the police received a report of theft. The incident is said to have taken place between October 3 and 7, 2025, at a company on Road to Lower Round Hill on Sint Eustatius. A battery was stolen from a welding machine. In addition, it was determined that the locks on a container had recently been cut. Presumably, nothing was taken from the container. The case is under investigation.
