Arrest for assault on SABA
On Friday, the 14th of November, around 1:30 PM, a report was filed of an assault at Windwardside on Saba, in which a man allegedly assaulted a woman on the street.
On Saturday, the 15th of November, a 36-year-old man with the initials J.C.W. was arrested in connection with this case. The investigation is ongoing.
Fight with injured EUX
On the midnight of Friday, the 14th of November, the police received a report of a fight at Fort Oranje between a security guard and a man. When the patrol arrived at the location, both parties involved were no longer present. Witnesses were interviewed at the scene to clarify the incident.
Their statements revealed that a man on a scooter wanted to pass through a barrier that was intended for pedestrians only. When the security guard tried to stop him, a confrontation ensued, during which the scooter rider hit the security guard with his scooter. The security guard was injured.
After hearing the witnesses, the police went to the hospital to speak to the victim. The victim indicated that he did not wish to file a report. The police then spoke to both parties about the incident.
