ORANJESTAD/ THE BOTTOM – Professionals and policymakers working on online security on Saba and St. Eustatius will soon have the opportunity to participate in the .BQ Cybersecurity Convention, an initiative aimed at strengthening cyber awareness and digital resilience across the islands.
The convention will bring together the police force, government organizations, critical infrastructure providers, ICT professionals, business leaders, policymakers, and others responsible for protecting digital systems and data within their organizations.
As cyber threats continue to evolve worldwide, the event focuses on sharing knowledge, strengthening cooperation, and providing practical strategies that organizations can use to improve their cybersecurity preparedness.
Professionals working with digital systems and online safety are invited to register.

The Saba session will take place on Tuesday, the 7th April 2026 from 09:00 till 13:00.

The St. Eustatius session will take place on the 9th April from 09:00 till 13:00.

Public Cyber Awareness Night
In addition to the professional sessions, a Public Cyber Awareness Night will be held on St. Eustatius from 18:00 till 20:00 at the Christina and William Flanders Community Centre.
This evening session is open to all residents and will focus on practical guidance for staying safe online, including recognizing scams, protecting personal data, and strengthening everyday digital security.
