Arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol on Sint Eustatius
On Thursday, the 20th of August, around 6:00 PM, a 51-year-old man with the initials W.H.B. was arrested on the Dr. H.A. Korthalsweg on Sint Eustatius. The suspect was involved in a collision between two pick-up trucks. In accordance with the 'botsen is blazen' policy, a breath test was administered to both drivers. This revealed that the suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol exceeding the legal limit. The suspect was issued a 5-hour driving ban, and an official report will be drawn up.
