How does a feed reader work?

To receive RSS messages, you need a program: a reader. You can subscribe to all feeds that websites offer. RSS feeds are available for (if present on this):

• news;
• documents;
• weblogs;
• activities.

You can also subscribe to search terms you choose yourself. Whenever there is an update, it will automatically appear in the reader.

Types of feed readers

There are different types of feed readers. Some work via a website you open in your Internet browser, while others work via an app on your phone or computer.

You can choose a feed reader depending on your preference.

How do you add a feed?

It is easy. Once you have chosen a feed reader, you can search the reader for the option to add a feed. Next, complete the following steps on this website:

1. On the page with an RSS feed, click on ‘Subscribe’ on top of the page, or enter a keyword on the search page and click on ‘Subscribe’.
2. A pop-up will appear. Click the button: ‘Copy link’.
3. Add the copied link to your feed reader.
4. Once you have done this, you will have completed your subscription and will automatically receive updates.
